These questions seek to assess the demographic makeup of our specialty. Collecting this data is part of our Equality, Diversity and Inclusivity (EDI) Strategy in order to help us deliver our EDI goals. This information will be handled confidentially and will be aggregated and anonymised prior to any publication. Participation in this demographic data collection questionnaire is completely voluntary. However, answering these questions will help us understand the demographics of our membership, provide member services in the best possible way and help ensure a diverse representation of the specialty. These questions have been reviewed by the AOT Equality, Diversity and Inclusivity Team and we have taken advice from EDI experts on how the questions are asked. If you have any feedback, please contact the AOT Committee via email. This should only take a few minutes to complete. Please note you can change your answers or cancel your membership from within your account at anytime.
By signing up for membership, a ‘mutual contract’ is created between a Member and AOT. A Member has a duty to be truthful in the information they provide to AOT. A Member also has a duty to keep their details up to date by logging onto their account via the AOT website. When logged in, the Member is in charge of their own data, can see what data AOT holds on them via the “My Profile” page and can freely change any of their own data. If a Member cancels their membership, AOT will delete all the personal data we hold on them within 30 days.
