AOT Conference

We meet once a year to discuss current issues in ENT and we welcome all ENT trainees of whatever grade to attend the AOT conference. The location for the conference varies each year. It is a great opportunity to learn more about the key issues affecting training, meet your fellow trainees and future consultant colleagues, and often to give feedback directly to those consultants making decisions that impact us day to day.

The AOT Conference is being held at the Queens Hotel in Leeds on 20th and 21st June!

On Thursday we have planned a day of friendly competition offering a chance to catch up and network with colleagues from around the country. We’ll be kicking off with a round of go karting followed by darts at Flight Club.

Friday is our conference day which has a great line up of speakers; our exciting Keynote Speaker is Dr Vivienne Ming who is an American theoretical neuroscientist and an Al expert.

There will be a training update covering ST3 applications, CCT and the Portfolio Pathway as well as a range of talks and panels covering each of the ENT subspecialties. You will have the chance to present your research with 2 x £500 prizes generously sponsored by ENT Masterclass. We request that first authors are pre-ST3. There will also be a chance for anyone attending to win a £150 textbook voucher from Taylor & Francis.

On Friday evening there will be a delicious black-tie dinner, with entertainment from comedian Henry Michael followed by some dancing which will be the perfect way to bring the conference to a close.

Abstract submissions

We are happy to announce that abstract submissions for the conference are now closed! Unfortunately we are not able to accept late submissions. We will announce abstract acceptance by email on or before 19th April 2024.

This year we have been generously sponsored by ENT Masterclass, who as part of the ENT Masterclass scholarship have provided cash prizes for the best poster and best oral presentation.

As is tradition, there will be an evening 3-course black-tie dinner and dance.

Friday conference & dinner: £160 (£150 early bird)

Thursday activity & Friday conference only: £140 (£130 early bird)

Full package (Thursday and Friday all day): £200 (£190 early bird)

Refund policy:

100% of the ticket cost will be refunded if contacted 6 weeks prior to the event.
25% of the ticket cost will be refunded if contacted between 4 and 6 weeks prior to the event.
Unfortunately, if we are not contacted at least 4 weeks prior to the event, we are unable to accept any refund requests.
